I can tell you that there is a very credible hypothesis that DNA came from RNA. the way it supposively happened is that due to all the life building blocks creaed over time because of how the earth began RNA was arose. RNA in the process of reverse transcriptase with the help of the protein with the same name (reverse transcriptase) decoded RNA to DNA and thats how DNA came to being.
