What happened to Kurt Angle? Did he retire as rumored?

hmmmm I haven't been hearing about Kurt angle much lately except that he signed a year contract with TNA. But Kurt Angle has not been seen on TNA since that whole storyline that Kurt Angle would retire-quit if he could not win the TNA heavyweight championship in a triple threat match at a TNA PPV which two of his former WWE colleagues Mr Anderson(Kennedy) and Jeff Hardy. And yeah if he signed a year contract . . . . . . . . How come he is not wrestling anymore?. Is he taking time off and then they as part of the whole storyline revolving his feud with I think was Jeff Jarrett.
