How well did John Madden hold up during last night's SNF broadcast?

I missed the game last night. How did Mrs. Brett Favre hold up knowing that his longtime love choked again and wouldn't be going to the playoffs? Was he able to keep it semi-coherent (aka normal for Mrs. Favre) or did he fall apart pining for his love to somehow get a special exemption from the NFL to get a playoff spot?
