Vauxhall astra 1.6 16v mot fails?

good eve all, my beloved astra failed mot today,boo hoo! emissions, rear coil spring and near side rear hand brake not efective enough. firstly how do i get emissions down? how much am i looking at for coil spring to be fitted and lastly any clues too the hand break prob?ps have already purchased spring �38, good price?
