Period dramas seem to portray French, Spanish and Italian men as more virile and manly than their British...?

I don't know, perhaps it's because British period dramas don't have any scenes in them. Why don't you produce a steamy Jane Austen adaptation that stars Colin Firth and his hot naked @ss in some steamy love scenes and prove everyone wrong about British men. LOL!!!! Seriously, though, I think Englishmen are always portrayed as reserved, serious, not verile, because these period dramas are accurately portraying what the men of these periods were really like back then, but luckily times have changed for the women of your country!!!
