Do i need a tv license if i have sky tv, with the ariel but the tv isn't connected to the sky box.?

as im only using the sky broadband. the sky box would be hidden under the stairs. but there would be a big disk sticking out the house, so the tv license people could say im watching sky, but the tv isnt connected. i will only use my tv as a monitor.
